King of the Castle

I started off using the sketch from Scrap Like You Mean It Week 4

and a pile of scraps (Bo Bunny and Basic Grey I think), then found the perfect photo afterwards!! Letters are Thickers Tinsel and American Crafts Remarks, with MM for the little ones. Bazzill card for the background, wish I could remember the shade!

Then I realised as I'd used red I was part way towards doing the Jan Week 4 challenge

UKS Week 4 –
Scrap about an animal - 10 points
Use black, red or gold - 10 points
Include stitching - 10 points

So decided to draw on some stitching, on the middle circle and the LH panel, which lifted the LO.

Failed on the animal, Jonnie isn't that bad! So that's another 20 points to add to my total.

So.. the finished result:

12 months = 12 projects

Am doing this challenge from the It's a Creative World website (

January is now almost complete. I have managed to do a journalling card for every day, and taken photos for almost every day - which need printing! - so now it's coming together nicely. One sheet of BG Periphery pp has been used for the cover, and to fill in the gaps left on the odd photoless day, and I will probably add a few primas when it's all together. Then I need to bind it!

What I don't want is to end up with 12 almost identical books, so I need to think of some other ideas.

books, food, holidays, my house, Jonathan, clothes, shopping, holidays (good one for August!)

I will choose something new for each month! Am open to ideas/suggestions for themes. Also for how to make my mini books, so far I've made a 7 x 5 mini book with 6 x 4 photos and journalling in, and have a 6 x 6 one waiting in the wings for one month (although I'm not sure yet which one), and a shaped book for another month.

January - daily life
Feburary - food
March - Jonnie
April - things I did

Where's Andy?

This photo was taken last year, when Helen asked one night "Where's Andy?" - and he was fast asleep in bed with Jonnie after story time! (That's more or less what the journalling says at the bottom of the photo).

Am not convinced this is finished yet.

Bazzill 12 x 12 card, rest of card from scraps bag and is a mix of crate paper, basic grey, bo bunny, and goodness knows what else! Buttons from button box, MM & BG letter stickers, and a bit of ribbony stuff.

I wanted to do this LO to remember how traumatic writing thank you cards was this Christmas!

Everything apart from the blue bazzill 12 x 12 card I used for the background, and the brads for the flowers came from either my pp scraps bag, or my embellishments odds and ends bags whic I was very pleased about. The thickers letters were from an already opened pack.

Wii fit - use it and lose it

Papers are paper loftflip flops (double sided - the plain blue and the squares) and doodlebug (stripes), thickers and BG letter stickers, white card for matting photos is MM (I think, it's textured).

That's it! An embellishment free page!! Am trying to convince myself it is clean and uncluttered lol!

This was for a challenge on FSUK,

Journalling says - My resolutions this year are 1. be more active 2. use the wii more 3. lose some weight

I used the December kit from 3 Jolly Scrappers for this LO, the only additions are 3 blossoms from my stash.

Papers are Cosmo Cricket & Dream Street, black Bazzill strip, ribbon and lace from kit, red letters are Thickers “Tinsel” and beige ones are AdornIt (from kit).

I used my December Kit from and a half sheet of MM pp, and some tinsel thickers, plus the scrabble stickers I've had forever, and a couple of blue buttons from my stash (the others were in the kit)

There is a big pocket behind the photo to put a copy of the letter into. We have also had a reply from Santa so I need to work out what to do with that now!
